  3. Right, click on Windows Defender > select New > DWORD.
  4. Double click the newly created DWORD > name it DisableAntiSpyware > set the value to 1.

  1. Press Windows Key + X to open Win + X menu. Now choose Command Prompt (Admin) or PowerShell (Admin)from the menu.
  2. When Command Prompt opens, run REG ADD “hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows defender” /v DisableAntiSpyware /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f command.
  3. After running this command, your registry will be modified and Windows Defender will be disabled. Using the command line to disable Windows Defender is a faster method, and if you’re an advanced user, you might want to try it out.
